Original, inspiring and enjoyable activities to help develop and consolidate music understanding in your novice pupils.
The Compendium comprises thirteen sets of cards (which have to be cut from A4 sheets).
The cards address four key topics; rhythm, melody, musical terms and timing. In addition there is a card showing Regular and Italian terms.
For ease of sorting, each card set is colour coded and has a distinct shape front and back. An instruction booklet details twenty-five activities that can be played with these cards.
Making up rhythms.
Spotting the change in rhythm patterns.
Finding the mistake.
Identifying the time signature.
Finding the pairs.
Piecing together simple well-known tunes.
Explaining musical terms.
These games will improve musicianship and aid Aural Skills required for ABRSM and other music exams. They can be played on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
Having cut the cards out, you will need to store them somewhere for ease of use. This pack comes complete with a clear polypropylene wallet (A5 Portrait, Press-stud fastening, welded seams), elastic bands and a label to identify ownership.
